TryoutsThe gollowing organizations have asked us to post try-out information:
Washington Junior Nationals Collegiate Development Program
Junior Nationals (Junior A) - can't play HS if you participate with this team
and
Juinior Capitals (Junior B) -- can play HS, but the junior team takes precedence over the HS. Check with your coaches before committing. You may miss a playoff game if you play.
Frederick Freeze (Junior B)
This organization allows high school student-athletes to participate.
Team Maryland -- open to Maryland and District of Columbia student-athletes.
Midget 18U - very demanding schedule, but high school friendly.
Midget 16U - ditto
Bantam 14U - ditto
Washingon Little Capitals
The Little Capitals will field an 14U and 16U program. MSHL student-athletes who live in the District of Columbia may try out for the Little Caps or Team Maryland.
Junior Hockey and Tier I hockey are the highest level of local hockey that a player can aspire to. Both involve a commitment both of time and resources. Remember, you go to high school and college to get an education, not to play sports (hence the tern student-athlete). Make sure your commitment to the classroom is equal to or greater than your commitment on the ice. |
